Cookie Policy – How Siam’ple
1) What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit our website(s). We also use similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and script tags. Some cookies are strictly necessary (without them, the site or checkout will not work properly), others are functional, analytical or marketing-related.
2) Who places cookies?
- First-party (How Siam’ple): cookies that we set ourselves (e.g., language choice, session management).
- Third parties: cookies set by our service providers, such as Stripe (payments) and Amazon CloudFront (CDN). In some cases, your IP address or browser information may be processed by these parties.
3) Legal basis and consent
- Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest and/or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(f)/(b) GDPR).
- For non-essential functional, analytical and marketing cookies, we ask for your consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time (see §7).
4) Categories of cookies and examples
Note: the exact names and durations may change when vendors update their technology. The tables below show typical and most common examples.

Note: we do not use advertising networks or social pixel tracking unless you explicitly consent to this. If this changes, we will update the cookie banner and this policy.
5) Processing by third parties and international transfers
We work with carefully selected processors and third parties, including:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Amazon CloudFront (AWS) (content delivery network)
- Systeme.io (funnels/checkout)
Some of these parties process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional technical/organisational measures where needed. An up-to-date list of processors and sub-processors is available on request via info@howsiample.com.
6) Retention periods
We apply minimal retention periods in line with the purposes described above. Session cookies are removed when you close your browser; persistent cookies expire automatically on or before their set end date. The tables in §4 provide indicative durations.
7) Your choices: managing cookie preferences
- Cookie settings: via the cookie banner or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, you can change your preferences or withdraw consent.
- Browser settings: you can also delete or block cookies via your browser settings (see the help function of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.).
- Consequences: strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled. Refusing certain categories (e.g., functional or analytical) may affect the functioning or user experience of the site.
8) Your rights
You have rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. For more information, see our Privacy Policy. To exercise these rights, contact info@howsiample.com. We generally respond within 1 month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, or via the authority’s website.
